Nowadays, we are in love with just about anything. We are in love with the newest gadget in the market, or the newest organic fabric out there. Ah, and don’t let me forget the hip color of eye shadow MAC came out with for their fall line. And of course we fall in love with people. How, I am still trying to figure it out. But what really shocks me is that when it comes to Jesus and falling in love with Him, makes us just a little too uncomfortable, uneasy if you will. We are somewhat repulsed at the idea.You know. We love Him and all, He is our Savior after all, but it’s kinda’ crippy to think and actually fall in love with Him. You know he is good to think about at church or bible study. After all it makes us feel good about ourselves. But Heaven forbid, we would actually think about Him all the time. Isn’t that what people in love do anyways?! If we did that, when would we actually have a chance to be selfish? Lets see, let me find a better excuse. When would we have time to care and love other people? I mean really! How weird is that?!
If we had any version of that monologue in silence, we are not in love with Jesus. K, brace yourselves, get some tea and read on. If we were to imagine Jesus crying out every verse of the bible, how would we feel? If we were to imagine Him crying out to us: “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me! Let anyone who believes in me come and drink. Come to me all you who are burned and weary and I will give you rest. In your inmost self and I knitted you together in your mother’s womb. I have loved you with an everlasting love. I will never leave nor forsake you. ” That is the heart of Christ! And knowing his heart is being in love with Him!
God gave Jesus a “heart of flesh” so you and I can have His heart. So you and I can have His love. Knowing the heart of God is to know that he is love and only love. I know it’s a paradox because we can’t know Him unless we love. And how can we love if we don’t know Him. His love is the conduit to our love. His love is patient, kind, it does not envy, it does not boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It is not easily angered. It is not self-seeking. It always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres it always protects. We will never know our own hearts if we first don’t know the heart of God. By definition alone, when we become a new creation in Him, our old self is gone and we take on a new one in Christ Jesus. So, if we continue to live in the old self why in the world are we calling ourselves “saved”?! What are we being saved from? What has really and truly changed?!
We can’t love people if we can’t love ourselves. And we can’t love ourselves if we don’t love God. The only way to do that is to fall in love with the one that is in you. The one whose image we are to resemble more and more by each passing second. The one who died so we could live. His love knows no conditions and is limitless. Don’t settle for a second love, without knowing your first love!
God is love! All you have to do to "be in love" is to BE IN GOD! Know that you are loved ALWAYS!

RAINBOW
I have always enjoyed movies based on real life stories. They have been a great source of encouragement to me. Also, I like to research and compare the movie to real life facts. I almost always see things I had missed before or find a different perspective. I watched the Ark of the Covenant not so long ago. And then I picked up my bible and read the story.
In the story I was reminded of the covenant God made with Noah. The Covenant promised that a flood never will do such destruction and as long as the earth remains seasons will come as expected. But what really touched my heart is the third part of the covenant. God knew!!! He knew we would doubt and at times we would loose heart. He knew that we would need a visible sign, a constant reminder of His faithfulness and protection. A rainbow will be visible when it rains as a sign to all, that God will keep his promises. That was the third part of that covenant.
From now on, every time I’ll see a rainbow, my heart will say: “I trust you Lord”. He is a God of His Word! And I love Him!

CHOICE
The reality of a choice is unavoidable! Even when we try to avoid a choice, we still have to make a choice not to choose. My parents overemphasized the power of choice. They never presented us with ultimatums, only choices. So God and I have been talking a lot about choices. The more we talked the more I realized how important choices are to God. To us humans they are just as ordinary as ordering a non-fat latte, or brushing our teeth, taking a left instead of a right. But to God choices are important! Rest in the reality of choice!
The beauty of a choice is that it always precedes a choice. Never the same yet still constant. We are always choosing and it can be nerve racking sometimes, unless we come to realize that the end of a choice is only the beginning of another choice.
I have found the cycle of a choice to be quite interesting. A choice leads to a consequence, which yields to a responsibility, which leads yet to another choice. It all truly does begin and end with a choice. Remember David gazing at Bathsheaba. He tasted the agonizing beauty of choice! A fleshly, destructive choice, nonetheless a choice.
The power of a choice is life changing. I am truly beginning to grasp the fact that we always, let me say that again, always have a choice. I am not talking about choice as a copying mechanism when life gets hard, but choice as a privilege. Remember when the Israelites were facing the Red Sea. They felt the thrilling power of choice! And for them was as simple as getting their feet wet.
The gift of a choice is a “magic mirror”. Other’s choices reflect us in the light of their choice of perception, good or bad. And that’s relative to how good of a day they’ve had or how they feel about themselves. But I have come to the realization that others’ choices should not affect who we are. You can choose who you see in the “magic mirror”. All you have to do is look through Jesus’ eyes. Accept the gift of choice!
The purpose of a choice must be God glorifying! Everything we do is driven by a purpose. Choices are no different. God himself gave us that privilege. He thought it was so important that he gave us the choice to choose Him. And the sum of all our choices must glorify Him. He doesn’t order us to choose Him, He allows us to choose, freely choose Him. We have a choice to respond, a choice to be miserable, a choice to stay stuck, a choice to obey, a choice to live, and a choice to love. Yes, love is a choice not brain surgery! And I am not talking just about romantic love, but love in general. Love for your friends, for your enemies, for your family, for people you don’t know. Embrace the purpose of choice!
God, himself, through Christ Jesus has given you the reality, the beauty, the power, the purpose and the gift of choice. Who, what and how at are you going to choose today? And I am praying you will choose today. Yes, today not tomorrow, ‘cause tomorrow is the Lord's.

Hello Again!
Hello fellow blogger!
You thought I was never coming back, didn't you!? I am excited to say that I am ready to post again. I have been taking a rest from posting but not from writing:). Jesus and I have been discussing quite a few things in our relationship. And Trust has been the underlying theme of our discussions. So, that would be the theme of this next season of writing. But since I am a girl I am allowed to change my mind, so don't hold me to it:). I just might let the Holy Spirit lead.
